How to get rid of a spider without getting near it?
The easiest solution or option would be to go down to your local hardware or supermarket and purchase an aerosol product or surface spray similar to this one (Seclira® Pressurised Insecticide). This one is a commercial-grade product so it probably won’t be available to the average public. However, there are many, many other aerosols available.
This one here has a little extended nozzle which will simply give us a bit more distance from the spider. I understand that a lot of people do have arachnophobia, so this will give you a bit more comfort standing away. Follow the label, direct application of however much product to the spider and it should kill the spider directly — and peace of mind for yourself the homeowner.
